If you have any questions regarding your wedding at our beautiful 4-star hotel, please see the FAQs below for answers to all your wedding needs. Alternatively, please get in touch with our friendly team and we’ll be able to answer all your burning questions.

What types of wedding packages do you offer?

We offer a variety of wedding packages, including options, intimate gatherings (including just the two of you!), grand celebrations, and everything in between. Our packages include varying levels of catering, décor, and accommodation options tailored to your preferences.

 

How many guests can The RO Hotel accommodate for a wedding?

Our venue can host weddings with guest counts ranging from 2 to 150, depending on the event style and room layout.

 

Is The RO Hotel licensed for civil ceremonies?

Yes, The RO Hotel is fully licensed for civil ceremonies, allowing you to have both your ceremony and reception in one stunning location.

 

Can we book a tour of the venue?

Absolutely! We’d be delighted to show you around. Please click here to book a showround with our calendar.

Are there outdoor spaces available for ceremonies or photos?

For photos, yes! We have our beautiful Terrace overlooking the Lake. 
Although we don’t do outside ceremonies currently, this is something that could be discussed with our wedding coordinator.

 

Can we bring our own decorations?

You’re welcome to personalise the space with your own decorations. 

We work closely with several amazing suppliers, and in most packages offer you your chair covers and chair sashes, and table stationary (welcome signs, menu cards, names cards, table plan and table number/name cards) – please see brochure to check which packages this is included in.

 

Do you provide a bridal suite?

Yes, we provide a luxurious bridal suite for you to prepare and relax on your special day.

 

Is there a space for children to play or relax during the event?

We can arrange a dedicated area for children, including entertainment or childcare services upon request.

Do you offer in-house catering?

Yes. We offer Wedding Breakfast menus for adults and children, Buffet Menus, Drinks and Canape Menus. 
Vegan and Vegetarian Menus available on request. 
Food included in each package is listed in the brochure. 

We can tailor these to you! Any dietary requirements, themed food menus for example a Mad hatter tea party from Alice in Wonderland, changes from a bacon sandwich to a ham one – just ask and we can work together on this!

Any drinks that you want, but don’t see, for example a his and hers cocktail/mocktail rather than prosecco? Again, be as creative as you like, just ask.

 

Can we bring our own cake, and is there a cake-cutting fee?

You are welcome to bring your own wedding cake, and there is no additional fee for cutting and serving.

 

Is there a bar available during the reception?

Yes, we offer a fully stocked bar with customisable drink packages to suit your preferences.
We also have private bar hire available in both of the main ceremony and evening reception rooms, which can be stocked with all your favourite drinks.

Is parking available for guests?

Yes, although we have limited parking spaces. The Bride and Groom will have 2 spaces reserved just for them during their time with us.
We do recommend guests share as much as possible. Please check in with our wedding coordinator as to how to best work with this, and any other nearby parking.

 

Do you provide accommodation for wedding guests?

We offer discounted room rates for wedding guests. Please ask about our block booking options.

 

What is your policy on live music or DJs?

Live bands and DJs are welcome! We can recommend vendors or coordinate with your chosen entertainment.

 

How far in advance should we book our wedding?

We recommend booking at least 12-18 months in advance, as popular dates tend to fill quickly.

What is your deposit and payment schedule?

Our deposits are £1,000 to secure your date – due on the date of signing your agreement. These are non-refundable and taken off your overall remaining package price. A payment plan can then be decided that works around you, so long as everything is paid for up to 6 weeks prior to your wedding date.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy varies based on the timing of the cancellation. Please contact our wedding coordinator for detailed terms.

 

Do you require wedding insurance?

While not mandatory, we strongly recommend wedding insurance for peace of mind.

 

Are there any hidden fees or service charges?

All costs and fees will be transparently outlined in your contract. Service charges are included in your final quote.

Can we arrange for a rehearsal dinner at the hotel?

Yes, we offer private dining spaces perfect for rehearsal dinners. Ask our team for details and menu options.

 

Do you offer any special touches, such as sparklers?

We work with local vendors to arrange unique additions like sparklers, or a cruise on the Lake!
