Dog-Friendly Stay Policy
At The Ro Hotel, we love welcoming four-legged friends. To make sure everyone (including our human and canine guests) enjoys a comfortable and relaxing stay, we’ve put together a few simple guidelines for bringing your dog along.
Dog-Friendly Rooms
Well-behaved domestic dogs are welcome to stay in our designated dog-friendly bedrooms. To keep things comfortable for everyone, dogs should be:
- Fully house-trained
- Free from fleas, ticks, or contagious conditions
- Friendly and non-aggressive
A maximum of two dogs per bedroom is permitted, depending on room type and availability. For the comfort of all guests, we may not be able to accommodate puppies or dogs with a history of aggression.
Booking Your Dog-Friendly Stay
Please let us know you’ll be bringing a dog when you book, as dog-friendly rooms are limited and must be confirmed in advance.
If you arrive with a dog without prior arrangement, we’ll always do our best to help, but availability can’t be guaranteed.
Dog Stay Fee
A dog stay fee of £25 per dog, per night applies to cover additional cleaning.
Guests are responsible for any damage or additional cleaning required beyond our standard deep clean, which may be charged to the card provided at check-in.
Around the Hotel
- Dogs should be kept on a lead in corridors, reception, and when arriving or departing
- Please let our team know if your dog has any specific needs or sensitivities
- We may provide a dog welcome pack (subject to availability) for in-room use
Dogs are welcome in the bar and designated dog-friendly areas, but are not permitted in dining areas, breakfast service spaces, the spa, gym, or other restricted areas.
Assistance dogs are, of course, welcome throughout in line with legal requirements.
In Your Room
- Dogs should not be left alone in the room at any time
- Please keep dogs off beds, sofas, and soft furnishings (we recommend bringing a dog bed or blanket).
- Dogs should be toileted off-site and any mess cleaned up promptly
- Any behaviour that disturbs other guests is not acceptable and may result in the Hotel requiring the dog to be removed from the property without refund
Housekeeping
For the comfort of our team, rooms can only be serviced when dogs are not present. Please arrange a suitable time with reception or use the door hanger system.
Behaviour & Consideration
We kindly ask that dogs are kept under control at all times and do not approach other guests or dogs without consent.
If any behaviour causes disturbance or safety concerns, we may need to ask that the dog be removed from the property.
Damage & Cleaning
Guests are responsible for any damage, staining, or excessive soiling caused by their dog.
If anything happens during your stay, please let us know straight away so we can take care of it—our team is always happy to help.
Responsibility
Dogs remain the responsibility of their owners throughout the stay. We recommend appropriate pet insurance and compliance with local regulations.
Thank You
By booking a dog-friendly room, you agree to these guidelines so we can continue offering welcoming stays for both two- and four-legged guests.
